Nice Shootin’ Cowboy is a 15-minute film from Ben Phelps (Writer/ Director) and John Maynard (Producer), based on the short story by Anson Cameron.

Featuring André de Vanny, Simon Stone, Jack Wardana, Rebecca Hetherington, Don Bridges, and Kym Troutbeck.

Nice Shootin’ Cowboy is an Arenafilm production that was funded with a grant from the Australian Film Commission (AFC).

Nice Shootin’ Cowboy was recently selected in offical competition for its World Premiere in August at Melbourne International Film Festival 2008.

The film has been nominated for Best Short Film in the 41st annual AWGIE Awards 2008.  Judged by the Australian Writers’ Guild, the AWGIE Awards are the only Australian writing awards judged solely by writers.  The awards will be presented in Melbourne in August 2008.

The film has also been honoured with a nomination for Best Short Film in the 26th annual ATOM Awards 2008. The awards will be presented in Melbourne in October 2008.
